Panasonic X700 smartphone now officially announced

24 February, 3GSM World Congress. Panasonic introduces its flagship model for 2004 - Panasonic X700 smartphone. X700 is a compact phone with digital camera, video capability and supports the miniSDTM card. The X700 utilises Symbian OS and the Series 60 Platform. Shipments are scheduled to begin Autumn 2004.

The new Motorola MPx was announced

Motorola announced the Motorola MPx (based on Microsoft Windows Mobile) - part of the Motorola MOTO Pro series of handsets. It is dual-hinge device (opens both lengthways as a clamshell phone and in landscape mode) with a wide screen and full QWERTY keyboard.
