Cingular launches the Samsung SGH-i607 Blackjack, the phone which is aimed to compete with Motorola Q. The Samsung Blackjack is compatible with Xpress Mail, Microsoft Direct Push, Good Mobile Messaging. It comes with a 1.3MP camera, Bluetooth, microSD and USB.

Globalstar announced the new GSP-1700 mobile satellite telephone. The new handset weights just 203 grams, it is nearly half the weight of Globalstar current satellite handset. The new battery provides users with 4 hours of talk time and 36 hours of standby time. The GSP-1700 was manufactured by QUALCOMM and incorporates its Mobile Station Modem™ (MSM™) MSM6500™ chipset solution for EV-DO networks.

Pantech has stuck a major deal for supplying Orange branded handsets in France. On the list is the Pantech U4000 slider phone which includes a 1.3 Megapixel camera and a VGA res for video conferencing, 1.9 inch 260,000 color TFT display, Media player, 512MB onboard memory, Micro SD card for memory expansion, Bluetooth and USB connectivity. This deal with Orange with further strengthen Pantechs hold in Europe.

Live shots of N93i have just surfaced. It is very similar to the Nokia N93, featuring the same 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and 3x optical zoom. But a body design is different with mirror effect front cover, smaller size and new button design. The Nokia 93i will also comes with a mini USB connector instead of the traditional pop-port connector. Both version works on WLAN, 3G (WCDMA 2100 MHz), EDGE and GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz) networks.

Vertu have released two more editions from their Racetrack Legends series of Ascents. The new editions are the Le Mans and Indianapolis Ascents. Both phones feature specially treated leather designed to look like carbon fiber. The Le Mans edition is blue whilst the Indianapolis edition is black. As well as the two new editions Vertu are also making a boxed set of all six Racetrack Legends phones which will include the two currently unreleased Racetrack Legends Ascent’s. All the phones in the boxed sets will bear the same serial number which is between one and fifty which were blocked off from the beginning of the series. The two remaining colors of the series are yellow and grey, one of the phones is known to be named after the Monaco racetrack. The series is expected to be completed by spring next year.
