According to our source, Sony Ericsson decided to update its K610 handset. The K620 will feature two digital cameras - a 3.2-megapixel (main) and VGA for video calls as well as UMTS broadband support, 100 MB memory. There is no info about a date of K620 official presentation, but, probably it will take place in 3GSM Congress 2007.

Telecoms Korea, reported that Samsung Electronics is going to be sued for trademark infringement after naming their new smartphone BlackJack. Seemingly there is a case filed in Los Angeles Federal Court by (you guessed it :-)) Research In Motion better known for their BlackBerry OS and a line-up of phones.
The apparent idiocy of the forthcoming lawsuit (in my view it should have never been accepted in court for it is obviously stupid, but we are in a different jurisdiction anyway) should not overshadow the actual screenplay.
Take my prediction: Samsung looses the first round and wins on appeal. This will keep the case afloat in the media for months and both BlackJack and BlackBerry will get tonns of free brand exposure. And the real winner is….. of course Cingular that just rolled out both of these in their smartphone lineup. Whoever wins, legal expenses are minimal compare to sales profits or either of those two. If you look from Cingular point of view - it does not sell Berries or Jacks - it sells JackBerry.
Apparently also:
Earlier, Samsung used the name Hero, the original brand name for Pantech MVNO phone launched through Helio for its products distributed in India.

EasyMobile operator has been in business for almost two years. As we remember, Sir(?) Stelios started his mobile business very agressive… And now we can see that to be underdog is not so pleasant business.

Did you ever hear about izenMobile San Diego-based company? I am not insisting that this company is a pure fake, but izenMobile looks really weird. Probably, few individuals trying to get in on the action. I do not have too much to present you, only some press photo of Krma (Karma?) and press release with Krma specs. Few words about photo - I would call Photoshop on this and not an impressive one.
On the other hand I really liked this enlightened Buddist approach to marketing, just can’t figure out how exactly ZEN Buddism and Karma are supposed to attract business customers that are presumably the main target audience for the phone and the company. But little do I know since it is San-Diego California after all
